5 Tips for Designing an Engaging and Effective LMS Training

Professional development and training of any kind proves to be most effective when the trainees can stay engaged and make the connection to “why” of what they are learning.  This holds especially true when training staff on a complex tool such as a learning management system (LMS).  Here are 5 helpful tips for developing a successful training curriculum.

1. Outline the learning objectives

Laying out the learning objectives prior to developing the training sets the LMS training’s foundation.  These learning objectives should outline what skills or knowledge you wish your trainees to walk away with after training.  The learning objectives should also be concise, measurable, and achievable for the amount of training time allotted.  Good learning objectives will not only define the knowledge goals but will also aid in the design of your assessment and training activities.  Plan on presenting the learning objectives to your LMS trainees at start of the training.

EthosCE Customers Share Inspiring Models of Success At 2017 Annual User Conference

We are pleased to have concluded our very successful 2017 Annual EthosCE User Conference in San Francisco, CA on January 24.  The event is designed to bring together our medical association, academic health centers, and insurance clients to discuss: new EthosCE LMS features, for participants and presenters to share Best Practices, and advance the EthosCE Product Map for the future.

Keynote Speaker Robert Bartel, MS, Chief Innovation Officer at the Endocrine Society, gave a wonderful presentation on an often neglected topic:  "Developing Revenue Streams in CME."

Rob discussed how the Endocrine Society has continued to expand and advance revenue from educational content.  ...

EthosCE statement on refugee travel ban

EthosCE condemns Donald Trump’s discriminatory, unconstitutional order of Friday, January 27, 2017. We believe it will have a negative impact on the free flow of talent, ideas and trade in our fields of technology and medical education. Such actions will ultimately have a detrimental effect on patient care and outcomes, and are just plain immoral.
